👉One inbuilt gallery for supplying charge air to individual cylinders.

ENGINE CRANKSHAFT

∑Converts the reciprocating motion of the piston in to rotary motion.

∑All ALCO engines (16/12/6 Cylinder) crank shafts are in single piece.

∑Made of forged steel alloy.

∑Slung under  Cylinder Block and rotates inside the Main Bearings.

∑Supported by Bearing caps fastened with saddles in the Block with stud and nuts.

Location of Centre Journal                        :4

No. of Crank-pins                                       :6

To be lifted at Crank-pin Nos.             :2 & 5

To be supported at Main Journals  :2 & 6
