ENGINE CRANKSHAFT

Converts the reciprocating motion of the piston in to rotary motion.

All ALCO engines (16/12/6 Cylinder) crank shafts are in single piece.

Made of forged steel alloy.

Slung under  Cylinder Block and rotates inside the Main Bearings.

Supported by Bearing caps fastened with saddles in the Block with stud and nuts.
